Suspects wanted for a business robbery in Levubu

The police in Levubu are on the hunt for suspects who allegedly robbed a spaza shop in Tshakuma Diambele Village on Tuesday, 05 March 2024 at about 20:30.

According to preliminary information, three armed suspects entered the shop and pointed the owner and his employees with firearms. One of the suspects fired a random shot and the victims were all instructed to lie down.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money from the tills. They demanded more cash, and when the owner told them he didn’t have, they assaulted him with a panga and took his vehicle keys.

The suspects fired several random shorts as they fled from the scene.

The police were summoned to the scene, and a case of business robbery was opened for investigation.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has urged community members to come forward with information about these dangerous criminals, as police continue with their investigation to track them and recover the firearms
