SABC Captain Livhu Called Funeral Undertaker TO Pick Up Late Partner’ so Body Before Police Arrived – Colonel Tshifularo

The Thohoyandou High Court in Limpopo has heard that a popular venda comedian, accused of killing his partner phoned a funeral parlor to collect the body from the scene before police and the family of the deceased arrived.




This was revealed by a retired police officer, Avhatakali Tshifularo during examination-in-chief conducted by the prosecutor, Nduvheni Mulangaphuma in the high profile murder trial against Livhuwani Maḓadzhe.

Maḓadzhe, better known as Captain SABC Livhu, was arrested on the 28 January 2023. He stands accused of murdering his partner, Lindelani Negovhela ‘Mme a Muofhe’. Negovhela’s body was found inside a pit full of water at the couple’s home at Mangodi, Ha Siḓou the very same day.



According to the statement given by the retired cop, Tshifularo, as reported by SABC News, ‘the deceased Lindelani Nengovhela had scratches on her throat, which could indicate strangulation’. He also told the court that her stomach didn’t look like she had drowned inside the pit, as it was flat.

The trial has been postponed to Tuesday 08 April 2025 after Madadzhe’s lawyer, Advocate Ntsako Hlungwane made an application to Judge Ṱhogomelani Tshidada for the matter to be adjourned to allow him time to prepare for cross-examination. The application was granted.




Advocate Hlungwani will cross-examine Colonel Tshifularo when the matter resumes on Tuesday.

About two more witnesses are expected to testify before the state closes its case.
