The National Roads Agency SOC Limited (Sanral) has declared that toll gate tariffs across the country will increase by 6.25% on March 1.

The government gazetted the hike on February 10 and it is yearly adjusted based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Sanral said its mission is to provide high-quality road infrastructure that benefits South Africans by means of upkeep, operation, and improvement of toll roads.

One of the busiest roadways in South Africa is the N1, which runs from Polokwane to Musina and between Pretoria and Polokwane.

Below are the adjusted toll fees in 2024 for ‘Class’ 1 light-motor vehicles:
