14 Lions roaming around Phalaborwa Foskor Mine

The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) have released a Media Release statement confirming sighting of about 14 Lions roaming around Phalaborwa Foskor Mine area.

It is suspected that the Lions have escaped from the Kruger National Park. The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism have allocated Field Rangers in the area to closely monitor the Pride’s movement prior action to be taken.




In the meeting that was held between Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET), Kruger National Park and the Greater Balule concluded that the Lions are to be captured and released back at Kruger National Park.

To all employees at Foskor Mine and members of the public are hereby advised to be alert at all times.
