A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL RAPED IN MUSINA

The police in Musina under Vhembe District are investigating a rape case of a 15 year-old girl on Saturday 06 July 2024 at Matswale location, Phase 9 at about 19:00.

It is reported that the victim was at home when she informed her older sister that she was going to her grandmother’s place to play with other children.




The victim left home but did not return in time, and her sister decided to check at her grandmother’s house but was told that she never arrived. She continued to look for the victim until she came back and found the victim at her grandmother’s house.

The victim informed them that while walking, she met a male suspect who allegedly grabbed and forcefully took the victim to an empty house and raped her.



Afterward, the victim was released and went back to her grandmother’s house and informed her family about the rape incident. The matter was immediately reported to the police who opened a rape case.

A manhunt of the suspect has been launched for his apprehension.
