THOHOYANDOU POLICE INVESTIGATE A CASE OF BUSINESS ROBBERY IN MULENZHE VILLAGE

Thohoyandou police are investigating a business robbery that occurred at one of the spaza shops in Mulenzhe village Thohoyandou policing area, Vhembe District, on Sunday 10, March 2024 at about 17:30.

According to initial reports, the victim was assisting customers in his shop when a silver Mercedes Benz pulled up outside. Five individuals, two of whom were wearing balaclavas, emerged from the vehicle, with one brandishing a firearm. The perpetrators threatened the victim with violence and proceeded to rob him of undisclosed amount of money in cash, a flash machine, and a Samsung cellphone (A13). It has been reported that the suspects communicated in Tshivenda and Xitsonga languages.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist with the arrest of the suspects to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Siaga Humbulani, on 067 251 2976, Crime Stop Number 0860010111, the nearest police station, or MySAPSApp.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
