KHELINA’S family remembers her as a go-getter!

The death of the actress and comedian, whose real name’s Lebohang Lettie Mpyana, didn’t hurt her fans only but also cut deep into her family.

On Wednesday, 1 November, after the sad news broke that the actress had died, many of her fans were shocked to hear about her death.

Her family has shared great memories of her.

Lebohang’s uncle Augustine Mpyana said she was a passionate person who loved her work and others.

He told Daily Sun she fought so much to be where she was.

The 34-year-old from Mmotong in Limpopo was popularly known for her role as Khelina on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela DiepCity.

The actress was raised by her gogo, Mmakwena.

Augustine said Lebohang was gogo Mmakwena’s favourite child, and everything she did was for her.

I wish many people could do the same things she did. She went all out and got a break in the industry,” he said.

I don’t have enough words to describe her. She was hard worker. She made sure that she got to the top.”

Augustine said it was sad part that she passed away as she was about to show the world her other skills as an entertainer.

As a family, we are grateful for the love and support her fans are showing us. We will celebrate her life with them,” he said.

Augustine said her memorial service will be on Wednesday, 8 November, at the Polokwane Library Gardens in Limpopo.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11 November, in Mmotong in Limpopo.

She acted alongside legendary actors such as Hamilton Dlamini, Sonia Mbele, Mduduzi Mabaso and Dawn Thandeka King in DiepCity.
