BGMP Records Reopens Doors For Upcoming Artists

BGMP Records, home of great Music.

BGMP Records was established in 2007; it was established with the aim of bringing fresh ideas to the Entertainment Industry. Initially, based on Music Production, Marketing, Publishing, Distribution, Events and Artist Management among others.

BGMP Records is a young dynamic production company; it is spearheaded by Godlive Masinge (Dj Gibbz) a progressive entrepreneur who in his capacity brings a wealth of experience in music business and technical expertise in studio and music productions. It was founded by Godlive Masinge (Dj Gibbz), an unemployed youth from Joppie Village under Nwamitwa Traditional Authority situated 30km North East of Tzaneen Central Business District (Limpopo Province). He has established this record label in order to pursue his business interests in Music and to create jobs for himself and other youths from different communities around South Africa.

BGMP Records has been growing substantially over the past years trying to become a leading participant in the Music Industry; it has been discovering talent around the South African Communities (Deep-T SA, Jay Tomson, Jijiji Machimana, Dj Gibbz, Tour Masters, MellowMusique, Dj Mighty-Mu, Dj Comewell, Rubicon, MC Rhusta, Jaha Ra Maria and Sweet Rain just to mention a few) . The 100% black owned label has a list of talented Producers on board.

BGMP Records has been releasing their projects digitally on several online music stores, most of the projects managed to hit top 100 for the best selling mp3s at afrodesiamp3.com before the store was discontinued on the 31st December 2012. The closure of Afrodesiamp3 didnt stop us from selling our music because through the help we got from Static Plastic we started to distribute our music to other big international stores like Itunes, Amazon, Juno, Traxsource, Beatport etc….. Static Plastic is known as the leading promoter of South African House Music abroad.

Our primary objective is to introduce and promote our South African musical heritage, culture and industry products to new global markets; and encourage sustainable partnerships internationally. This is an effort to establish and advance international business relationships, creating a platform for both local and international industries to interact with one another by exchanging services, products and resources.
