Daniel Rabalela Village Born Model Represents Tzaneen At The Miss South Africa Heritage 2024

Lehlohonolo Motsiyo was born and bred in the dusty streets Daniel Rabalela village in Bolobedu outside Tzaneen.

She’s currently in her early 20s and based in Mankweng, Turfloop in Polokwane where she’s a student at the University of Limpopo.

Hloniey as affectionately known, was child model, she enjoyed modeling from an early age.

In 2020, she started to build her love for modelling while she was still doing her high school. Eventhough there were hiccups here and there, she started taking it very serious in 2023 when she engaged much on it.

After taking off in 2023,her journey seemed easy because she started to focus on the job at hand and not jumping from trend to trend.

It’s about learning who you are, finding your confidence, trusting the right people and the right process and also communication to get as we all grow. That’s why I’m still crusing nice.” Hloniey says.

In the beginning, it was tough, there were a lot of challenges, she had to balance Modelling and Learning at the same time.

So it’s tough sometimes because I have to balance the 2 (Modelling and Learning). Even to get support from your followers its not easy because others they can be rude on you. I remember when I was competing with 500 Models at some event, it was not easy but I managed to be the 1st Princess.

The other one it was 800 models where I was crowned as Miss Extraordinary. So my journey is very challenging. Another big challenge that I’m facing now is in the Miss South Africa Heritage where I have to get lot of supporters but it will be better by time.” Says Hloniey Motsiyo.

Hloniey’ secret about her success is that she live with the scripture that says : “When the time is right, I the Lord, will make it happen, with regardless of discouragement by staying positive and have confident. Your dreams shall come to pass, as we know that we plan but God decide”.

2024/25 is the year that Hloniey wants to use to restore hope for a lot of women. She will be empowering women through development skills and giving them hope through her projects.

I was that person of having low self-esteem, not having enough confidence because my classmates used to bully my beauty. But after Ndavi Nokeri won in 2022, I was motivated because it’s not because where you come from, whether you are black or white Model, anyone can do it.” Hloniey says.

Hloniey is currently competing at the Miss South Africa Heritage 2024. This event is very challenging, but she won the other rounds where they are using Social Media to seek reactions from supporters so they could win an activity, on this one, she made it through to the last round where they will be crowning winners on the 14th of December in Soweto.

I want take this opportunity to inspire young girls from the underprivileged backgrounds out there in bulding their confidence. I think girls should be given the opportunity to take up the space in the society and I’ll make sure of that, by giving back to the rural community. Remember that winners never quit.” Cloncludes Hloniey.

Hloniey is running an organization where she is using her own NSFAS to buy food parcels for unfunded students at the University of Limpopo since 2022 till today. She donates clothes and also do hairdressing to students for free because of her love for her people.

Let’s support her journey on Miss South Africa Heritage 2024 where she believes that together we can do it.
