Coming Up On Muvhango This August 2024

Muvhango returns after being off the small screen for a month.

The new season will introduce new faces, including actress Leleti Khumalo, who will portray a former medical doctor turned successful businesswoman

Season 26 premiere!

Nkele and Tshililo say a painful goodbye to Reneilwe at her cremation. Meanwhile, Dr Ximba (Leleti Khumalo) makes a commanding entrance at MMC, bumping into Imani. Ndiwavho is upset about moving to Venda and Teboho is forced to kill a prison gang leader.

Episode 2 (4635)

Teboho frames her cellmate in an attempt to save herself. Imani struggles with anxiety as she prepares to impress Dr Ximba. Bubbles brings the church women to offer condolences to Nkele, but the moment is interrupted by a bank letter of demand. Tshililo tries to warn his goon, KK’s goon is closing in on him.

Tshililo’s goon reveals he’s eliminated KK’s person. Ndemedzo (Wiseman Zitha) pretends to be a devoted fan of Dr Ximba’s work, hiding ulterior motives. Kgosi tells his family that Nkele has declared war. James is speechless when Teboho, who is supposed to be in prison, shows up on his doorstep.

Nkele causes an uproar, accusing Tshililo of stealing the urn with Reneilwe’s ashes. Azwindini and Lindelani prepare for the re-launch of Hayani Holdings. At the event, Dr Ximba’s marital troubles with her husband Avhatakali Ramabulana (Lloyd Nedohe) are at odds with her public image.

Kgosi takes the urn to a private dinner, seeking solace. Teboho reveals herself to Mulalo, declaring war on the Vhakwevho. Nkele moves to a dingy room, choosing solitude. Dr Ximba is shaken by a menacing message about “The Mayor” as Hayani Holdings is unveiled.

Nkele struggles with her new surroundings. Azwindini and Avhatakali bond over golf, discussing their partnership and MMC’s future projects. Susan encounters a hostile Lebo at Waterside after a while of not seeing her, and then Dr Ximba offers R20k for Lebo’s phone.

Tension and intrigue unfold as Lebo finds herself bribed with R100k by Dr Ximba. She warns Shaz to report Dr Ximba to the police if anything happens to her. Nkele tells Tshililo that her fall from grace is a strategic move. Susan urgently calls Avhatakali to warn him that his wife knows about their affair.

Avhatakali tries to pacify his wife with a diamond necklace. Kgosi gives a heartfelt tribute at Reneilwe’s memorial. Nkele asks Tshililo to read her farewell message to Reneilwe. Later Teboho reveals to Nkele that she knows who was responsible for Reneilwe’s death – says she has evidence.

Dr Ximba moves into Nkele’s house and catches up with her son Sakhile. Susan panics as Avhatakali avoids her calls. Bubbles checks on Kgosi and they kiss. Teboho offers Nkele a deal for evidence. Dr Ximba manipulates Avhatakali to stay in Joburg.

Teboho shocks everyone by walking into a Hayani Holdings meeting as Nkele’s proxy. Tshililo and Imani’s intimate dinner is interrupted by the police. A worried Susan decides to cut ties with Avhatakali but ends up getting intimate with him at Dr Ximba’s house. Then… she gets shot by a concealed woman.

Susan is rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Avhatakali receives a frantic call from the hospital asking for Dr Ximba. Meanwhile, Nkele is kidnapped by two assailants. The hospital head pleads with Dr Ximba to perform a life-saving procedure on Susan. Will she step in to save her husband’s mistress?

Dr Ximba leads her team in a delicate surgery. A devastated Avhatakali drowns in his misery. Mulalo accuses Teboho of being involved in Nkele’s disappearance, but she denies it. James surprises Teboho with an emotional reunion with her first-born son, Morena, after many years apart.

Dr Ximba finishes the first operation on Susan. Vhutshilo receives an explicit video of his mother and Avhatakali from an anonymous number, leaving him gutted. He takes the video to the police and is stopped by a shady cop. Heartbroken, Dr Ximba makes the decision to end her marriage.

Avhatakali vehemently refuses to accept Dr Ximba’s divorce papers. An emotional Vhutshilo reveals the sex tape of his mother to his father. Teboho and Ndemedzo’s plans seem to be progressing well.
Azwindini and Avhatakali have a heated argument.

Teboho gives James the cold shoulder, strategically friend-zoning him. Imani gives Ndemedzo compliments on his appearance. Avhatakali informs his wife that the police have found new evidence in Susan’s shooting. Dr Ximba is taken in for questioning by the police.

Episode 16 (4649)

Dr Ximba is questioned by the police about her knowledge of her husband’s affair. Avhatakali admits to the affair but denies shooting Susan. Although Avhatakali and Dr Ximba are released, Neshehe suspects something is off. Imani appoints Ndemedzo as her personal trainer.

Dr Ximba and Avhatakali return home to a turbulent environment, with their son, Sakhile, expressing deep hatred for his father. Ndiwavho tries to calm Vhutshilo. Ndemedzo fears Teboho might be developing genuine feelings for James.

James decides to move Teboho’s belongings into his bedroom. Lebo is interrogated by the police and accuses Dr Ximba of shooting Susan. Meanwhile, the bullet that was used to shoot Susan goes missing. Neshehe receives CCTV footage showing a car in close proximity to the shooting.

Ndemedzo tries to learn more about Imani. Ndiwavho catches Muvhango in fraudulent academic activities. James is shocked when Teboho introduces Ndemedzo and reveals their plan to neutralise the Vhakwevhos. Imani is flattered to learn that Ndemedzo has asked about her.

Episode 20 (4653)

Imani arrives with a new hairstyle to catch Ndemedzo’s eye and invites him to Sakhile’s graduation party. Mulalo expresses concern that Teboho might be manipulating James. Sakhile is thrilled to walk into his party but then it takes a turn when police arrest someone for Susan’s shooting.



Premiere episodes of Muvhango air on SABC2 from Mondays to Fridays at 21h00.
