Mr. KV SA, known to his parents as Matimu Vidwell Mavasa, was born and raised in Giyani at the dusty streets of Thomo village in Mopani District of Limpopo Province.
Mr. KV SA is an energetic and dedicated Amapiano artist, performer, entrepreneur, motivational speaker and a hustler. He is 39 years old and the proud father of 4 children (2 girls and 2 boys). He works as an (IE) Installation Electrician. Mr. KV SA is talented and skilled, whatever he touches turns to gold.
In 2002 he released his first album with the young kwaito group Mazestas together with his younger brother Vutlhari, known as Skavistar (Izzy).
In 2020 he went solo and released his first Amapiano single ‘Ava ni tivi’ with Dj Hlekzo, Jofadah and Skavistar. 2021 was the beginning of bigger projects when he released his first Amapiano EP ‘Mabebeza koka venter’ with Dj Hlekzo.
In 2023, Mr KV SA returned with even more firepower with his second Amapiano EP ‘Zevere’ (Money). The EP was exceptionally successful considering the numbers so far.
Mr. KV SA has worked with many producers and some of the major players in the industry such as Dj Hlekzo, Dj Maluks, Advance Beats, Magzo, Mapentane, Jijiji Machimana, Limpopo Roots, Nascent KR, Dlawzey, Mcwillem Rowan, Bomboza, Dj Tshineta, Da Box, the late Lawrence Ndlovu, Shadrack Ndlovu and Dj Dog to name a few.
In March 2024, Mr. KV SA lost his parents Mrs. Olivinah Mavasa and Mr. Kaizer Mavasa, may their souls rest in perfect peace. Mr. KV SA came back stronger after the loss of his parents and named himself King of Tsonga Amapiano with his third Amapiano EP which features Jijiji Machinana from Joppie Village.
The “Tribute” EP consists of the two songs ‘Mabena’ and ‘Domkop’. The song “Mabena” is a hit in South Africa and neighbouring countries such as Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho.
Mr. KV SA celebrates his 24th anniversary in the music industry this year, 2024. Black Child never gives up.
