Detectives at Lebowakgomo Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences ( FCS) Unit have launched an investigation after a 13-year-old girl was bundled into a sedan vehicle and ultimately raped.

According to the report, the girl was walking to school in Seleteng village at about 10 am on Saturday, 13 April 2024 when a grey Toyota Tazz with three occupants stopped next to her and one of the suspects grabbed and forced her into the vehicle.

The suspect covered her face with a cloth, forced her to drink a spiked drink until she passed out. The victim alleges that when she regained consciousness later in the afternoon, she realised she was raped and heard the suspects discussing about trafficking her. She then jumped out of the moving vehicle and fled on foot.

The matter was reported to the police and a case of rape was opened. The registration number of the vehicle is unknown.

Police call upon anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspects to contact Captain Kgerudi Moela on 082 565 8260 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or the nearest Police Station or use MySAPSApp.
