A MAN SHOT AND WOUNDED DURING HOUSE ROBBERY IN TZANEEN

Police in Tzaneen are seeking information that can assist in the apprehension of three armed robbers who shot and wounded a male Zimbabwean national during a house robbery at Sisimuka Piggery Mieliekloof in Tzaneen on Saturday midnight, 13 April 2024.

According to preliminary information, the victim was asleep with his wife when he was awakened by the intruders breaking the door to the main house. He then went outside to investigate and was accosted by three suspects who forced him back to the house at gunpoint.

The suspects demanded cash and ransacked the house in search of valuable items. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, cellphones, and other properties. One of the suspects shot the victim on the leg before they fled the scene.

The victim was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The Police have opened a case of house robbery and attempted murder.
