A 20 YEAR-OLD MALE STABBED TO DEATH IN BOLOBEDU

The Bolobedu police have arrested a 17 year old suspect for allegedly stabbing a 20 year old man in the streets of Ga-Mapaana in Ga-Kgapane in the early hours of Sunday 07 April 2024 at about 03h15.

According to the information received from the police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, It is alleged that the police received a call that there was a Murder at Mapaana village.

Upon arrival the police found an African male lying on the street wearing a black T-shirt and black trousers .The body was facing upwards and having a deep stab wound on the neck.

The deceased’s body was certified dead by EMS personnel and transported to the Government mortuary by the pathologist personnel for postmortem to be conducted to determine the cause of death

In the morning of Sunday 07 April 2024 at about 06:00, the 17 year old suspect surrendered himself to Bolobedu SAPS and informed the SAPS members that he stabed and killed his friend.

The suspect alleged that he was out with his girlfriend and friends drinking.while walking home along the way home, he had an argument with the deceased and they started to fight, and that is when he stabbed him.

After the fight, he ran home, and when he arrived home, he informed his parents about the incident, and that is when they brought the suspect to the SAPS Bolobedu.

All stakeholders were informed and attended the scene of crime.

The police investigations are continuing.
