TWO ETHIOPIAN MALES ARE ARRESTED FOR OPERATING A FAKE WATER PURIFICATION PLANT IN TZANEEN

It has been reported that on Tuesday, Tzaneen SAPS, working in conjunction with the Immigration officials and the Department of Water and Sanitation, arrested two Ethiopian men aged 33 and 50 at a rented filthy warehouse in the Tzaneen Industrial area.

According to the Police, the suspects were arrested for packaging tap water into empty bottles and put ‘Super Natural Still Prepared Water’ stickers.

They seal the bottles and distribute them to various shops as the water that has undergone a thorough purification process.

The bottled waters were confiscated and registered in the SAPS 13. The two asylum seekers will appear in the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court within 48 hours”, said Sergeant Maurice Nkhwashu.
