A 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL RAPED IN MUTSHA KHWEKHWE VILLAGE

The Thohoyandou Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses (FCS) Unit is actively pursuing a male suspect who allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in Mutsha Khwekhwe village, in Levubu policing area, between the 16th and 18th of March 2024.

According to the victim, the harrowing incident occurred on 16 March 2024 around 10:00 a.m. while she was attending a local football match at the showground.

The perpetrator, identified as her former boyfriend, forced her to his residence, where he repeatedly raped her. The traumatized victim was eventually released on 18 March 2024.

Upon reaching home, the victim confided in her aunt, who promptly assisted her in reporting the heinous crime. A case of rape was opened and the police are diligently working to locate and apprehend the suspect.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe have ordered police to track down and apprehend the suspect to face the full might of the law.

The investigation by the police remains ongoing, with all necessary resources being dedicated to ensuring justice for the victim.
