Priest shot dead in the Methodist church of Tzaneen

The man was praying with a couple at the Methodist headquarters in Tzaneen when another person opened fire inside the church.

A priest who was shot in cold blood in the church this morning succumbed to his injuries hours later.

According to police at the scene, the priest was sitting next to a couple when an unknown man visited the church and shot him several times before leaving the scene.

At this time, it is unclear what the motive for the shooting was or how the incident occurred, however, reports have surfaced indicating that the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police have confirmed the victim’s death and the investigation is ongoing.
