POLICE ARE STILL IN SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS IN BRUTAL KILLING OF A WOMAN AT HER RESIDENCE IN VILLA NORA

The Police in Villa Nora outside Lephalale in Waterberg District have launched an extensive manhunt for the suspects involved in the brutal murder of a 46-year-old woman at her home in Shongoane Village, Phahladira Section in the early hours of Monday 12 February 2024.

According to preliminary investigations, two male suspects forced entry into the house and proceeded to the victim’s bedroom.The assailants went out through the broken window and fled the scene.

The victim was discovered by her children bleeding profusely from a deep cut on her head. It appears the victim was assaulted with a sharp object.

The victim later succumbed to the injuries. Police have opened a case of murder and the motive for the killing is currently unknown.

According to the information, the two African male suspects were speaking Nguni language.

The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has reiterated that this heinous act of violence has no place in our community.

We are deploying all available resources to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly,” added Lieutenant General Hadebe.
