MORE THAN 15 APPLICANTS FOR POLICE TRAINEE JOBS IN MOPANI DISTRICT WERE DEMANDED TO PAY A BRIBE

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has cautioned communities against scammers who are soliciting bribe for possible enlistment as Police trainees.

Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba said that this is after SAPS Limpopo, especially Mopani District received over 15 reports from candidates who just wrote their psychometric tests.

According to reports, these scammers call the prospective applicants for SAPS Basic Training immediately after writing their psychometric tests to pay money in exchange of passing the psychometric assessments.

Community members should never fall prey to such scammers, as Police jobs are not for sale. Under no circumstances will a police official ask for money in exchange for a job. We wish to issue a stern warning to scammers that their days are numbered. Anyone with information regarding those selling government jobs must report the matter to the police for investigations and prosecution,” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

Report Criminals on crime stop number 0860010111 or the nearest Police Station or Use MySAPSApp.

“Investigations are underway“, added Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba.
