TWO LIFELESS BODIES FOUND IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS IN GIYANI

GIYANI – The police in Giyani have opened and investigate two cases of inquest that occurred at Nkurhi village and Ngove village in Mopani district today, Wednesday 20 September 2023.

The first incident that was attended by police occurred at Nkurhi Sadoma village at about 06h00am.

According to the information received from Giyani SAPS Sergeant Rikhotso, It is alleged that the police were summoned to the scene of crime at Nkurhi Sadoma village. This follows after the family members found the lifeless body of elderly man hanging with a rope under the branch of the tree.

The police then opened a case of inquest and the deceased was identified as Masenyani Johannes Maluleke aged 77.

During the day the police were summoned again in Ritavi river towards Ngove village. The police were summoned by the deceased uncle who was home when he was informed about the drowning of his grandson in the said river.He quickly went to Ritavi river and manage to retrieve the body from the water and inform the police immediately.

The police also opened a case of inquest at the scene of crime and the deceased was identified as Tebogo Kulani Mahasha aged 11 residing at Ngove village.

All stakeholders were summoned to the scene of crime and the postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of this unexpected death of elderly man and Young boy.

Investigation is underway.
