Meet Khalanga Pat Mathebula, Munghana Lonene FM Broadcaster Extraordinaire

Khalanga Pat Mathebula was born and bred at Manghena Farm which happens to be his grandfather’s farm.

He started his primary education at Matsila Primary where he did Sub A, B and Standard 1. He then did Standard 2, 3 and 4 at Xanguyintshwa Primary at the dusty streets of Ntlhaveni Block C outside Malamulele.

Khalanga matriculated at Hanyani-Nkuzana High at Nkuzana Village. He got his HDE at Giyani College in 1995. In 1996 he started teaching at Hanyani Thomo High School where he taught both Physical Sciences and Mathematics.

In 2000, Khalanga Pat Mathebula got his BSc Degree with the University of Pretoria and also joined Univen Radio as a Presenter. He worked at Univen Radio presenting Morning Drive Show and the National Top 30.

In 2005, Khalanga went to do BedSPF at the University of Limpopo which he completed in 2007. During his stint at Turf, he worked at Turf Radio after which he joined Munghana Lonene FM – Makomba Ndlela in June 2007 presenting several shows like education, Switshongo Top 30 and then moved to the midday Talk show slot of Afrika Wa Vulavula when the 2015 line up got introduced.

The most loved Radio Guru, a Khalanga currently hosts the midday talk show Afrika Wa Vulavula.
