A 63-year-old man allegedly shot and killed his 55-year-old wife in Malamulele





The South African Police Service in Malamulele in the Vhembe District, are still continuing with the manhunt for a 63-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his 55-year-old wife on Saturday 06 February 2021 at Mbhalati village.

According to Limpopo police, a fight broke out between the suspect and his second wife, Tsakani Joyce Maswanganyi, at about 7:30 p.m.

“The suspect then produced his registered firearm and shot the deceased on several occasions.

“The police were called and, upon arriving, the suspect had already fled the scene. The firearm reportedly used in the murder was found and seized.

“Preliminary police investigations revealed that the motive for the incident could be linked to family violence,” added Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has condemned the incident and has since directed that the suspect be hunted down until he is brought to book.
