A 62-Year-Old Man Attacked And Killed By Mob Justice For Allegedly Raping A 14-Year-Old

A 62-year-old man was attacked and killed by mob justice for raping a 14 year old girl at Finala village ward 03 outside Hoedspruit on Friday, December 06.




It is alleged the victim was walking to a nearby shop when she came across the suspect who claimed to have lost his cellphone. He then asked the girls to help him look for his phone and they walked to the nearby bushes where he located his cellphone. The suspect then asked the victim to unlock his and then grapped the victim with his hands, the victim tried to scream for help but there was no help.

The victim tried to fight back and the suspect hit her with a stone on the head and she collapsed and lost consciousness, that’s when the suspect assulsted her and threw her into a hole and covered it with tree leaves.



The victim, after gaining consciousness went to a nearby house and reported what transpired to her.

The matter was then reported to the police and manhunt was launched with the help of community members and Hoedspruit farm watch.

The suspect was then found by members of the community in Lepelle River and was then beaten until he succumbed to his injuries.




The suspect was found in possession of 4 panties in his pockets.

The matter is under police investigations.
