A Pensioner Shot Dead In Front Of His Partner In Sekgosese

The police in Sekgosese are appealing for information from the public in arresting two unknown male suspects who murdered an elderly man aged 71, on Friday, 20 September 2024 at about 18:30 in Itieleng village.




According to information, the deceased was sitting around a fireplace with his partner, when two unknown male suspects entered the yard, armed with firearm.

One of the suspects immediately fired shots at the deceased without uttering any words. Thereafter, they fled the scene.



The police and Emergency Medical Services responded to the shooting complaint. The deceased was found with two bullet wounds on his lower body, and unfortunately, he was certified dead. He was identified as Raphahlelo Motau Amos (71).

A case of murder was registered for further investigations.

The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage, and police investigations are ongoing.
