WORKERS ON THE TARENTAAL & DEERPARK ROAD SERVED WITH TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT LETTERS

Koephu Business Enterprise has ended its relationship with some of the workers as the project on the Tarentaal/Deerpark road comes to an end.




Termination letters have been sent to the employees working on the road stating that their employment will end on August 31, 2024.

These are the same employees who went on strike and blocked the road because of none payment 2 weeks ago, but the company claims it is a restructuring and has decided to give them Ui19 and payslips before August 31, 2024.



According to our source, whose name is withheld for security reasons, they were only paid for one month and everything promised in the letter was not honored by the company.

Since the company did not keep its promise, workers gathered and blocked the road 2 weeks ago. They had been promised to be paid for 2 months, which was not kept, and they only received 1 month’s salary.




Workers are still demanding their payment and it has come to our attention that some workers are still working on the project while others have been terminated.
