In a deeply distressing incident that has left the community of Bakenberg Mahlaba, under Ward 11 of Mogalakwena Local Municipality, reeling, the lifeless body of a newborn baby was discovered in a pit toilet.
The tragic discovery was made on 12 August 2024, raising grave concerns and sorrow throughout the community.
The newborn belonged to a 20-year-old mother, who is also caring for a 13-month-old toddler.
