A Teacher Has Been Se***lly Abusing A Grade 7 Girl (12) Since 2023

It has been reported by our sister Publication Alex Reporter that a teacher allegedly sexually harassed a girl on school premises on numerous occasions.

It allegedly started last year (2023) in December and had been going on until now.

The teacher had been touching her breasts and bums, sometimes pushing her to the corner and starting to touch her private part.

The teacher once told her that she is now ready for sex. He once called her during the break at school and when she went to him, he asked her to touch his private part,” said our reliable source privy to the information.

Another incident was when he called her and her friends and asked them for their lunch boxes. But they said they didn’t have. Then he responded by saying ‘I’m talking about this lunch box (pointing to their private part).’”

The victim’s family allegedly only found out all of this on Saturday, July 20th, 2024.

They allegedly overheard the girl talking to her sister. They called her and inquired about the truthfulness of what they were hearing.

Then she told them everything and confirmed that he allegedly did the horrible act most of the time in the classroom and to other learners in the class.

The source cited the girl’s fear of telling her parents until she heard another classmate talk about it.

She then became free to open-up and talk because the teacher was not doing this to her alone,” said the source.

The source said that the 37-year-old mother of two boys and the girl (victim) called the principal ( Mrs Jiyane) on Monday. It is alleged that Jiyane was informed about the incident by the mother of the girl.

The principal then allegedly asked some children who verified the horrifying news.

The kids had reported some incidents to other teachers before, but no drastic measures were taken against the culprit. The teachers are said to have not informed the principal about it.

The mother then went to the Alexandra police station to open a case of sexual harassment. The teacher was arrested on the school premises on the very same day (Monday, July 22nd, 2024).

According to the source, the girl’s mother was concerned about the fact that other teachers were aware of the matter but never reached out to her or informed the principal.

What is going to happen to the other learners who are also victims?”said the source.

The suspect, believed to be 50-years-old, remains in custody. Alex Reporter has also seen the case number.

We tried to contact the mother of the girl for comment, but we couldn’t reach her.

At the time of going to press, the Gauteng department of education was not reached for comment.
