LIMPOPO POLICE INVESTIGATE ALLEGED RAPE OF A 17-YEAR-OLD GIRL AT XIHOKO VILLAGE

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered the immediate apprehension of unknown suspect who allegedly raped a 17-year-old in Letsitele policing areas.

On Friday, 17 May 2024 at about 23:00, a 17-year-old girl was asleep at home in Xihoko village under Letsitele policing area when she felt someone touching her body. The victim woke up and saw an unknown male pointing her with a firearm and ordered her not to scream to avoid being shot.

The suspect covered his face with a T-shirt and demanded money from the victim, but the victim had no money. The suspect raped the victim and fled the scene through an open window.

The matter was reported to the local police. The suspect is currently unknown, and police investigations are ongoing.
