34-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR MURDER AFTER STABBING INCIDENT AT A LIQUOR OUTLET

Police in Sekhukhune have arrested a 34-year-old man for allegedly fatally stabbing another man, (34), during a drinking session in Ga-Masha village, Sekhukhune over the Weekend.

The suspect allegedly stabbed the man in the early hours of Sunday, 10 March 2024 at about 04:00.

According to reports, the suspect and the 34-year-old victim were drinking at the liquor outlet when a dispute erupted between them. The suspect took a beer bottle and stabbed the victim in his chest.

The police and emergency medical services were promptly called to the scene. The victim was pronounced dead upon their arrival.

The suspect was arrested at his residence and is due to appear in the Sekhukhune magistrate’s court on Tuesday where he will face a charge of murder.

Police investigations continue.
