COMMUNITY PATROLS APPREHEND MURDER SUSPECT AT N’WAMITWA

It is alleged that Community Members and Patrols have apprehended the suspect known to the Publication this morning at Rwanda, N’wamitwa outside Tzaneen. This was in connection with the a murder committed in the early hours of Sunday, 18 February 2024.

In December 2023, we received a plea from the family to assist in locating the same suspect who was terrorising the same family. The family went as far as opening a case at our local Police Satellite, Musiphani under N’wamitwa Traditional Authority.

Late last year, the suspect met with the deceased after picking up her child in a local Crèche. He took the Deceased by force and went straight to the bushes where he continued to abuse her S…xually and promised to end her life after the process.

It took a while for SAPS to arrest the suspect and he continued to terrorize the family which was led by the Granny who is also a victim in this case. They finally arrested the suspect in December after the splendid job done by Community Members and Patrols but was later released on bail in January.

We have been informed by our source, who is a family member that the same suspect allegedly went to the victim’s place and broke a window to gain access to the house. He attacked them, killed his girlfriend and injured the Granny who is now in hospital.

We would like to thank the community of Rwanda for doing Citizen Arrest and handing the suspect to the Police.
