THREE SUSPECTS NABBED IN CONNECTION WITH KIDNAPPING OF MAN AT AM LODGE IN HOEDSPRUIT, POLICE CONTINUES WITH SEARCH FOR THE VICTIM

Three suspects aged between 37 and 45 have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a 51-year-old man at the AM Logde Game Farm Hoedspruit outside Phalaborwa.

According to the information available at this stage, the victim Maduvula Norman Hlatswayo on 10 January 2024 went hunting with his friends at the mentioned Game Lodge with the intention to camp there for some days. It is further alleged on the third day( 12 January) at about 11h00,, the trio were spotted by the Game Rangers who fired some gunshots and further caught them. However, the others were released, and the victim has since disappeared.

The matter was later reported to the police and on Wednesday, 07 February a search operation was initiated on the premises comprising of the Detectives, First Responders, and K9 Unit, but the victim could not be located.

The investigation continued, and the following day on Thursday, three suspects were arrested in connection with the disappearance of the victim and were charged with kidnapping.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Hoedspruit Magistrate’s Court on 09 February 2024.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers has urged the investigation team to leave no stone unturned in uncovering what transpired and ensuring justice is served.
