MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS OF ROBBERY WITH A FIREARM AT TZANEEN

The Police in Tzaneen have opened a case of armed robbery after a 25 year old man was robbed at gunpoint in Tzaneen yesterday, 26 December 2023.

According to the police reports. It is alleged that a 25 year old male MTN employee was on duty driving a company car coming from Sekororo on the R36 road approaching the Crossing Mall entrance robots when his company car an MP200 got stuck. The victim got out of the car to place the reflective triangle on the road to caution other drivers.

After a few minutes the rain swept the triangle away and the victim went out to place it back on the road .

Whilst walking back to the car two unknown males accosted the victim, one pointed him with a firearm and the other with a knife then they forced him back to the car and robbed him of two cellphones in his pockets and another in the car plus an undisclosed amount of cash which was also in the car.
