Xivono Phakula From Nkowankowa Wins Spelling Bee Competition

Xivono Phakula, A Grade 3 learner from Ritavi Primary School in Nkowankowa came out tops in a spelling bee competition held in Polokwane recently.

He attained first place provincially for spelling in English, competing against other learners from various districts in Limpopo. The school management, school governing body (SGB), and the entire staff said they are over the moon to have a provincial champion in the school.

The acting principal of the school, Victor Chabalala, told the Herald that he is very proud of Xivono.

“Xivono’s win raises the flag of our school and community. We are expecting great things from him as he progresses,” said Chavalala.

The principal promised that there would be more achievements such as this for Ritavi. He believes that together with his team of teachers they can achieve even more.
