Ms Kulie Shooting Above The Skies At Munghana Lonene

Kulani Hobyane, affectionately known as Ms Kulie, born and bred in the dusty streets of Elim is a living proof that hard work and dedication equals success.

The 30-year-old SABC Munghana Lonene FM presenter from Elim in the Makhado area, Limpopo, told Daily Sun that she had to build her brand from scratch and is happy with the end result.

The presenter, who joined Munghana Lonene FM earlier last year, said that all it takes is courage and dedication.

I am a presenter, content producer, and rapper. This year I have been on radio for 10 years and officially with Munghana Lonene FM for one year,” she said.

Ms Kulie said she has worked as a producer of the talk show Gongomela with Risimati Kwinika, also produced the music show Lathela with Mathilda Chauke and as a co-host of the Saturday breakfast show, N’wayitelo Wa Muqhivela.

After an amazing 12 months of working with incredible talent, I was given the opportunity to produce the morning show Swa Risima with Khensani Nyango. It was huge milestone for me to make it to the daytime slot after only a year,” she said.

The presenter said this meant her work as a producer on radio was great.

I co-host with the legendary Sydney Baloyi, produced by the talented DJ Tectonik,” she said.

The presenter said she believes this is the way to bring both her personality and Khensani’s to the show, as they plan to entertain, educate and provide listeners with an incomparable radio experience every Monday to Friday from 9am to noon.

I am also part of a trio for the Saturday morning breakfast slot. Sydney Baloyi and I, produced by DJ Tektonics, have designed a breakfast show that will make Saturday your new favourite day, airing between 7am to 9am,” she said.

The presenter said she enjoys her space on air and it is a blessing.

Meet the new Producer of #SwaRisima 2023! Monday- Friday 9-12pm on SABC Munghana Lonene FM.
