Giyani Police seek an urgent information that can lead to the arrest of suspects who allegedly shot and killed a Security Officer

The police in Giyani seek an urgent information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects who allegedly shot and killed a Security Officer who had just collected cash from the Mopani Super Spar in Giyani this morning.

Limpopo police said, four suspects arrived at the Mopani Super Spar travelling in a white double cab GMW motor vehicle. Two jumped off and allegedly accosted the Security Officer coming out of the shop and shot him dead. They took the money box and fled towards their parked motor vehicle.




“The driver of the GS4 Security vehicle, who was sitting in the vehicle, gave chase and the suspects dropped the money box as it spilled red and green ink.

“The suspects took the direction south along the R81 road. They then lost control of the vehicle which hit the pole next to Kremetaart entrance in Giyani. They then jumped off and fled on foot.




“A reward of up to R50 000.00 is offered for any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.

“Anyone who knows the vehicle pictured below or who might have seen people with red and green ink in their bodies or clothes is urgently requested to contact the District Commissioner Major General Maggie Mathebula on 082 499 1969 or Colonel Cecil Machimane on 082 451 7181 or the Crime Stop number 0860010111. Any information received will be treated with strictest confidentiality”, added Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.
