AN UNIDENTIFIED WOMAN WAS FOUND DEAD IN MOKOPANE

The Police in Mokopane under Waterberg District have launched an intensive investigation after the body of an unidentified woman was discovered along the R101, next to Weenen High School, on Saturday, 23 August 2025, at around 11:00.

The Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a complaint. Upon arrival, members found the deceased lying under a tree, covered with ceiling boards and plastic material. The victim had sustained deep wounds on several parts of her body.

The deceased is described as an African woman, light in complexion, estimated to be around 40 years of age. At the time of discovery, she was wearing a powder-blue dress with matching powder-blue takkies. She had a flower tattoo on her right ankle and was wearing hair extensions. No form of identification was found in her possession.

Police are appealing to members of the community to assist in identifying the victim, tracing her next of kin, and providing any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved.
