PRODUCER, DEEJAY, AUTHOR, MEDIA MOGUL & BUSINESSMAN – These are all words which describe Godlive Masinge (Dj Gibbz).

Experience combined with talent in music work has done wonders for Dj Gibbz known to his parents as Godlive Masinge. Dj Gibbz is originally hails from Joppie Village under N’wamitwa Traditional Authority outside Tzaneen in Limpopo Province but currently based in Tembisa.

Dj Gibbz is undoubtedly Tzaneen’s biggest producer in recent times, having worked with Tzaneen’s Music Industry key players, the likes of Dj Gigigi, Sunco Vision, Rhusta Wa Vazayi, Dj Schillachi, Justine Time, Dj Andrew, Dj Ntlimbo, Dj Ishmo & Tour Masters just to mention a few.

Having acquired his music production knowledge from his childhood friends in 2006 – Dj Gigigi, Dj Andrew, Dj Schillachi, Tour Masters & Rhusta Wa Vazayi (All based in Tzaneen). In late 2007, he decided to start his production company ‘BGMP Records & BGMP Media Group’. He has established this Record Label in order to pursue his business interests in music and to create job opportunities for himself and other youths from different communities around South Africa.

A diverse character with many talents, Dj Gibbz is the Founder, Deejay, Author, Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer and serves as the Executive Producer of the company as well. Bra Gibbz, as he is popularly known worldwide, he was a show host at an Online Radio Station (AfroDeep) based in the UK hosting a show called “Bra Gibbz Taxi Music” where he was showcasing his music talents from production, mixing and compiling underground tunes for the listeners every Saturday between 21:00pm to 23:00pm (South African time). He had to leave the show and focus on his Marketing Management Studies in 2014.

“My friends’ wisdom brought me to where I am today. I am happy today because I’m the proud owner of ‘BGMP Records & BGMP Media Group’ – a label which is currently trading on a broader spectrum of Entertainment by exploring more in the music fields using a suitable criterion of developing content for the consumers. We also do digital distribution to International Leading Online Music Stores like Itunes, Traxsource, Beatport and Juno Download among others; and soon we’ll be venturing into CD Distribution to reach all corners of our beloved South Africa.

This talented Producer/Deejay/Businessman is inspired by the likes of Rocco, Boddhi Satva, Da Capo, Abicah Soul, Manoo, Ralf Gum, Black Coffee, Dj Christos, Revolution, Oskido and Tour Masters among others.

Dj Gibbz has worked with many underground producers and vocalists, the likes of K’zela & Stylish Dj, Jay Tomson (Ghana), Kowkie, Sibahle, MellowMusiQue, Tour Masters, Dj Nascent, Objektives, N Squared, Bee Zee Bee, Dj Press, Dj Gigigi, Sweet Rain, Justine Time, Ninety8, Wonga, Dj Mighty-Mu, Dj CoolDogg, Dj Lesh SA, Dj Andrew and Dj Schillachi among others.

Judging from his extensive range of influences, it’s no wonder why Dj Gibbz describes himself as an “All rounder Producer/Deejay” who can produce and play anything from Hip-Hop, Kwaito and definitely all the House Sub-Genres. It’s no wonder why he is still going strong even today. He is always making sure that he brings new stuff and styles which makes his music unique and not predictable.
