Magoebaskloof Pass is situated within the Limpopo Province, on the R71, the road between Tzaneen and Polokwane, in South Africa.

It is a lush green mountainous area, covered by natural evergreen subtropical forest. this can be a part where the tiny kingdom of Makgoba lived before they were conquered by Afrikaners who occupied Tzaneen area before 1905. Today Magoebaskloof may be a tourist attraction area which shows off its natural wonders like the Debengeni waterfalls, Magoebaskloof dam and plenty of forest hiking trails.

For one to be safe driving around this area, you need to be cautious about your speed, especially during the winter and rainy season because there’s snow and the road is slippery. A responsible driver needs to be alert and awake at all times, because sometimes you might hit Hippo’s that are sometimes on the loose.
