Regardless of where you coming from, you can still live your dream! – N'wamitwa Times

Regardless of where you coming from, you can still live your dream!

No matter how hazardous your background may look; never be deterred to work towards your goal.

My name is Amukelani khosa, I am 19 years old and grew up in the dusty streets of Rwanda at N’wamitwa Traditional Authority under the leadership of Hosi N’wamitwa II. I was raised by a single unemployed mother who taught me the basics of life at an early age, things were not easy for me as a young missy, but by the grace of God I am still breathing.

My intentions of writing this article is not to tell the universe how I grew up, I just want to advice other young people out there who are discouraged due to the fact that they come from a disadvantaged background; hang in there. The fact that none in your family is successful doesn’t mean you should give up from what you believe in; and it also does not determine your future at all. You are not the one who made things to be the way they are, yet you can be the one to change the current situation; provided you are determined enough to make it happen.

Make your presence count in your family; develop the attitude which will make you believe in your inner self. Majority of successful people you see today walked through the same path for them to be where they are today. My point is, if they did it, then what is it that can deter you from doing it too? What is it that they have that you don’t? God gave you potentials, use them efficiently!

You are unlimited, you can achieve all things you want, go an extra mile to make things work. Make your own future, make your own hope, infuse your life with actions and let the manifestation of what you believe in come to pass. Remember that people who make an impact in life are not easily forgotten even when they are no more, don’t you wish to be one of them? If so, forget about where you come from and let all those who come after you know of your existence; refuse to be forgotten. The world needs you, we need you, unfreeze from your comfort zone and implement the change which you want to see in your family.

Whoever you are and wherever you come from, it’s possible to live your dream, empower yourself intrinsically, change our nation and most importantly; include God in all your plans because there is absolutely nothing which is impossible when His intervention is present. One day is today, own it.
