Our 1st Annual Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk was hosted in December 2017 by Bra Gibbz Foundation & Victorious Attitudes. One of our achievements was to see the winner of the 2017 & 2018 Editions competing at the 2018 Comrades Marathon from Maritzburg to Durban….. Mr E Nkuna
It is logistically impossible to charge spectators to attend and observe a marathon, so races must have sponsor support in addition to entry fees in order to put on the quality events that runners seek out. We have already established such an event and would like to build a promotional partnership that is mutually beneficial to both the event and sponsor.
We believe the Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk offers a unique publicity opportunity for you as a sponsor. The broad exposure to an educated, affluent and loyal target market coupled with the significant economic benefit the marathon & Fun Walk brings to the communities of N’wamitwa Traditional Authority gives positive and substantial brand recognition to a wide and appreciative audience. Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk is coordinated by the Bra Gibbz Foundation & Victorious Attitudes, non-profit organizations dedicated to promoting and facilitating the character and skills development of youth through the support of sports and other extra – curricular activities. It utilizes 100% of the proceeds from the Marathon & Fun Walk for the funding of Education, donating food parcels and clothes among others to the disadvantaged communities within our areas. Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk will create substantial economic benefits to the surrounding communities of N’wamitwa (Tzaneen).
With a generous course time limit, the race is open to both serious runners and more casual participants who may be more interested in taking part. The run is expected to attract +- 500 participants this year (2019) for both Marathon & the Fun Walk. Estimated volunteers, spectators and family members are expected to grow the crowd to 750 people on race day morning.
The race is hosted by Bra Gibbz Foundation & Victorious Attitudes with support from Bra Gibbz Holdings/ Bra Gibbz Media. It is also supported by local volunteers, N’wamitwa Tribal Authority, Headman Magomani, Headman Mavabaza and Musiphane Satelite Police. This event is a costly venture with police support, First Aid kits, permit fees, athlete perks, timing and other expenses. While the entry fees will settle some of the expenses they will not settle all of the anticipated expenses. For the event to be successful and continue to grow year after year, sponsorship is being sought from local businesses.
The vision of Bra Gibbz Foundation & Victorious Attitudes is to establish a sustainable community focused running event, encouraging athletes of all levels to lead healthy lifestyles and further their personal fitness through running. Exciting race day events are 42km (Running – 21 to 65 years), 20km (Running – 18 to 70 years), 10km (Running – 14 to 80 years) and 6km (Fun Walk – 10 & 85 years).
You’re invited to be part of our 3rd Annual Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk 2019 as one of the corporate sponsors. Your partnership will help strengthen your company’s community objectives and awareness. This in turn will help to create a strong fundraising presence to help deliver on the complex needs of the disadvantaged children and adults within our communities.
Sponsorships will provide high visibility, high energy and hands on participation during Victorious Marathon & Fun Walk. What a great opportunity to promote your Charity or business in a creative, out-of-the-box fashion! We look forward to partnering with you!
By partnering with us, you’ll be able to:
CREATE A RELATIONSHIP WITH RUNNERS WHEN IT MATTERS MOST!
• Why wait until race weekend to introduce your products/ services to marathon participants? Beginning in July 2019, we will be mailing out our runner packets with sponsor products and information on a weekly basis!
• Creating a relationship between our sponsors and runners that will begin at registration and will last through the event! Not only will runners have a chance to incorporate sponsor products into their training, but they will also receive subsequent offers throughout the year from our sponsors via email and social media!
